ISO/TC 213/AG 1 - Strategic planning
Task:
Supervision of the work programme with due respect to the current and future needs of the user community and the ISO/TR 14638 "Geometrical product specifications (GPS) - Masterplan" with the aim of:
ISO/TC 213/AG 1 is responsible for preparation of criteria for evaluation of the suitability of potential New Work items with the Masterplan and the continuous updating of ISO/TR 14638.
ISO/TC 213 shall be chaired by a Convener appointed by ISO/TC 213 with the participation of the secretariat of ISO/TC 213 and members appointed by ISO/TC 213.

ISO/TC 213/AG 2 - Final Auditing Standard Team (FAST)
Task:

Review all draft standards during drafting and before submission to CD-, DIS- and FDIS-ballots, with increasing stringency from drafts to FDIS. The review shall ensure consistency of the:
terminology e.g. VIM, GUM, other standards of ISO/TC 213 and definitions drafted in accordance with ISO 10241 "International terminology standards - Preparation and layout";
drafting in accordance with applicable ISO/TC 10 standards.
technology e.g. GUM and standards of ISO/TC 213;
Introductions;
informative annex "Relation to the GPS matrix model" of all standards of ISO/TC 213 and;
compliance with ISO/IEC Technical Directives Part 2 "Rules for drafting and presentation of international standards".
The review
shall also confirm that drafts fit into the GPS matrix model according to ISO/TR
14638:1995.
The secretariat of ISO/TC 213 is responsible for the submission of drafts for
review. Any review shall be finalized within 2 months after received. The review
can be carried out by meetings or by correspondence. Reviews shall be conducted
by AG2. The Convener and / or the Project Leader responsible for the draft shall
participate in the review
In the case where radical changes are deemed necessary by FAST according to the
above, the drafts shall be returned to the ISO/TC 213 for revision or to the
appropriate Convener/Project Leader with the request of:
confirming the proposed modifications and correcting the Master-Version
providing answers to questions/concerns raised by FAST to be solved during the ISO/DIS enquiry or before final publication.
Where
there are no radical changes deemed necessary AG2 FAST will return the document
to Convener and / or the Project Leader responsible for the draft for further
processing with or without working group approval (by correspondence or at the
next meeting).
In order to ensure the steady progress of ISO/TC 213 Drafts, FAST shall provide
as soon as possible an updated project leader guidelines for the preparation of
GPS standards.
All FAST reviews shall ensure:
that no standard repeats requirements contained in other standards.
that all tolerancing and other graphic examples in GPS standards shall be relevant, consistent with the text, and accompanied by a clear written explanation.
that all information on default conditions and special drawing indication symbols are contained in chain link 1 & 2 standards of ISO/TR 14638.

To classify the different type of partitions within the GPS system compatible with the definition of partition within ISO 17450-1 clause 3.21:

Task:
To prepare a basis for ISO/TC
213 to decide whether a standard on classification of requirements and
additional information is desirable and to mature a working paper to the stage
where it would be ready
for submission as a New Work Item Proposal. This work should include:
- To give recommendations to
identify the importance of characteristics of geometrical features of a part
corresponding to the intended function.
- To provide tools for determining the level of importance and interdependency.
- To know/estimate what makes the function fail/work.
- To ensure means of communicating this knowledge/estimate.
